If my dogs were that petrified by a visit to the vet I would ask for something to help keep them calm. They shouldn't have to be full of anxiety like that. My dogs aren't a huge fan of vet visits but they don't tremble with fear and uncontrollable anxiety.

my dog always loved going to the vet. He'd be wagging his tail and doing the sniff-sniff-sniff-SNORT investigation of every inch of the floor molding. Even when I took him in to be put down when his lymphatic cancer returned, he was happy to see them. RIP Darby

It is a learned behavior. We teach our pets to like going on walks or car rides by repeating & rewarding. Do the same with vet offices by just dropping in with your pet (& a few treats with you) to say hi to the receptionist & let them give the treats, then leave. It is free & will help take away any fear. Repeat until you say vet & you get a tail wag.

I'm so glad that my medical alert service dog is not afraid of the vet I've been so lucky because my service dog she actually has always loved going to the vet no matter what the reason she can't wait to see them she loves them so much.🦮🐕‍🦺👍✌

The dog @2:26 knew he was cornered at the vet so he did the only thing he could. He used an all hands on deck “help me” call... some say it’s like when Batman sees the Batman logo in the sky..somewhere someone needs his help and needs it now.... we can only hope his friends came to his aid. 5:31 idk who trained this vet, but you really should not be cutting the claws this close to the pad, they have blood vessels inside that extend almost a 1/3 of the way down the visible claw.

Stop building up your pets anxiety. Take them for a long walk or run first and then straight to the car.. none of this ' you wanna go to the vet'? When they're scared our instinct is to coddle them but that will actually make it worse. After the appt take them for another walk or give them praise/treat. Also never let the technicians take your pet into the back without you being with them. Most things performed at a vets office can be done in the room. You wouldn't let your child go into the back of the doctor's office by themselves would you?
